I was browsing through my phone when I stumbled upon the e-mail app in the messages menu. Note that not all phones have the e-mail application in the messages menu.
When you open this "E-mail" app for the first time, you will taken through a wizard to setup your existing mail box on your mobile phone.
Here, I have the settings for yahoo mail only. I will post for other services like gmail, hotmail, AOL in future.
Fill the setup with the parameters below:
Mailbox name : YAHOO IMAP
Username & E-mail : your yahoo mail address
Password: your yahoo mail password
INCOMING MAIL SERVER SETTINGS
Incoming mail server: imap.n.mail.yahoo.com
Mailbox type: Imap
Security (port): off
Port: Default or 993
OUTGOING MAIL SERVER SETTINGS
Email, username and password: Use the same as above
Outgoing mail server: smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
Security (port) : off
Port: 25 or 587
Give your settings a name and click on save.
You can now send and check your mails from your messages menu with ease.
