How to access windows XP when it is passworded

Start up your computer using windows start up disk. You will be presented with a menu of options, hold down Shift+F5 to get a command prompt, a black background displaying something like A:\ will appear. Type C: and press enter then type cd windows and press enter again then type dir*pwl press enter and a list of password files will appear, You will not see the actual password but all you have to do is delete the first on the list by typing del name of password file.pwl and press enter.
Remove the start up disk and restart your computer. Windows will still ask for password just click OK.

To create a sjtart up disk

In windows ME or 98, go to control panel, double click add/remove program, select start up disk tab, insert a diskette and click on create button. If you dont have acess to windows ME or 98, it can be downloadedHere
